The CommissionersThe Commissioners were selected from a list of candidates who had agreed to have their names put forward by a selection panel consisting of senior officials from the Department for International Development (DFID), the UK Patent Office and an independent assessor. They were from both developing and developed countries, with combined expertise in science, law, ethics, economics, industry, government, and academia.
